Kelsey Fellows of Jackson, a first-year, radiologic technology student at SoutheastHEALTH College of Nursing and Health Sciences, has been selected to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists 2013 Student Leadership Development Program.
Fellows will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., June 13 to 16.
Fellows will attend two educational courses designed for students and be assigned a professional mentor during the House of Delegates meeting.
The Jackson resident was one of 61 students chosen from more than 130 entries submitted by radiologic science students nationwide. Fellows also was selected by the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists as one of two student interns for 2013. Tammy Homan, former president of the state group and Imaging director at SoutheastHEALTH, mentored Fellows throughout this process.
