James (Jim) Grubbe has been named Director of Hospital Accounting for SoutheastHEALTH. He previously worked with the Rio Tinto Alcan company where he served as an independent contract consultant.
SoutheastHEALTH Controller Tim Bushur said, “We are excited to have Jim join us. Jim has a vast amount of accounting experience and will be a vital part of Accounting leadership.”
Grubbe has substantial public and private experience in accounting, including varied financial, operational and human resources/payroll experience.
“Having worked here as a contractor for several months, it was evident to me that the leadership of SoutheastHEALTH is comprised of progressive and forward-thinking entrepreneurs who have an awesome vision as to what healthcare should be for southeast Missouri and beyond,” Grubbe said.
“Our clinical and non-clinical staffs are some of the brightest and most dedicated-to-task individuals I have ever had the pleasure to work with,” Grubbe added. “Those two things, combined with the opportunity to help strengthen internal controls and processes, made it a no-brainer for me to say ‘yes’ when asked if I would convert from an outside contractor to an in-house full-timer.”
Grubbe holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. He obtained his CPA certification in Virginia.
