Cathy Goodman has been named new Volunteer Services Director at Southeast Hospital, effective June 21.
Cathy has been part of the SoutheastHEALTH family since 1986 and most recently served as Patient Advocate with the Quality Management Department. Most of her years at Southeast have been spent as part of the Quality Management team, including service as Interim Quality Management Director, Quality Management Coordinator and Medical Staff Quality Management Coordinator.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. A Jackson resident, Cathy has served as a board member of the Jackson R-2 School District and member of the City of Jackson Community Outreach Board.
Executive Vice President of Planning and Business Development Jim Limbaugh said, “Cathy’s exemplary service and institutional knowledge make her a perfect fit for the position. We’re confident that she will provide leadership to maintain and grow momentum with our ‘Volunteer Army.’”
Cathy added that she is excited about her new position with Southeast and holds volunteers in high regard.
“Volunteers contribute so much to Southeast, both in terms of hours given and money raised through various endeavors to support important Southeast projects. I have always enjoyed working with our volunteers and look forward to getting to know each and every one of them.”
In 2012, Southeast Auxilians contributed more than 54,000 hours of service to SoutheastHEALTH. Those hours represent $1.03 million worth of labor provided by Auxiliary members.
