Southeast Hospital physicians and service teams have won Top Performer awards and Five-Star awards in the 2013 Excellence in Healthcare Awards. Sponsored by Professional Research Consultants (PRC), a nationally-recognized healthcare marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, Neb., the awards are for exceptional patient satisfaction scores.
SoutheastHEALTH President and CEO Wayne Smith said the national recognition is the result of hard work and a dedication to providing the highest quality of care, both within the Hospital and outpatient offices. “People are the defining element of world-class patient care and we are fortunate to have physicians and a large number of teams that accept nothing less than the best for those we serve.”
Top Performer awards are earned by individuals and teams who score in the 100th percentile within their clinical discipline or service category. Five-Star Awards are presented to those who score within the 90th to 99th percentile.
Joe M. Inguanzo, PhD, president and CEO of PRC, said, “In the past 33 years, we’ve never seen hospitals more determined to exceed customers’ expectations than the hospitals recognized this year. It speaks to their passion that Southeast Hospital is among the best of the best.”
PRC conducts surveys of patient attitudes for hundreds of hospitals and health systems across the United States. The annual awards are based on a survey question asking patients to rate the care they received from a team or an individual provider.
