Trent J. Essner, AuD, has joined Southeast Ear, Nose & Throat as a clinical audiologist.
Dr. Essner holds a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University.
He received his doctor of audiology degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Dr. Essner served as an audiology extern at a large otolaryngology clinic in Little Rock, Ark.
“As an audiologist, I have a passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss,” Dr. Essner says. “I especially enjoy providing thorough hearing tests and, if appropriate, fitting hearing aids and adjusting their settings for each individual’s unique needs.”
Dr. Essner adds that he chose to become part of the SoutheastHEALTH team “because it offered me an opportunity to return home to the heartland and work with the latest equipment to provide audiology services to individuals in our region.”
His professional memberships include the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
