Do you want to help comfort terminally ill patients and their families?
Southeast Hospice offers that opportunity for committed volunteers, says Pearla Smith, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers are never required to provide medical care and can choose the hours they wish to work.
Volunteers listen to patients’ concerns, are a comforting and supportive presence and also may run errands. In addition, there are opportunities to work in the Hospice office.
Volunteers receive training. The next training session is planned for this fall. For more information about volunteer opportunities, contact Southeast Hospice at 573-335-6208.
