Rehabilitation Services for Brain & Spine Patients

Patients recovering from stroke, trauma and other neurological disorders receive Rehabilitation Services on an inpatient and outpatient basis that include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Southeast's multi-disciplinary team works to initiate rehabilitation services as soon as possible so that patients may transition to the next stage of recovery as easily as possible.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Southeast Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, conveniently located at HealthPoint Rehab, at the intersection of Kingshighway and Independence in Cape Girardeau, provides a broad scope of rehabilitation services for both children and adults.

The facility features three specially designed rehab gyms to accommodate the needs of pediatric, orthopedic, sports and neurologic patients.

Patient services at Southeast Outpatient Rehab include:

Orthopedic rehabilitation for all aspects of orthopedic care, ranging from spinal dysfunction to post-surgery therapy; individually-designed home exercise programs and education included.

• Speech Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Sports rehabilitation for sports injury patients both before and after surgery
• TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) Therapy
• Work conditioning to help workers return to the workplace as well as learn how to become involved in injury prevention.

Inpatient services are offered at Southeast; outpatient services are offered at Southeast Outpatient Rehabilitation.
