2012 "Sounds of the Season" Christmas Concert
Christmas Concert Benefits Southeast Cancer Patients
For 16 years Mike Dumey has carried on the Sounds of the Season tradition that was started by Jerry Ford in 1996. Jerry wanted to help cancer patients like his brother Don, who served as the first Honorary Chair of this event.
Under Mike’s direction, the annual Christmas concert has grown in attendance to over 700. It raised $38,000 from the concert on December 2 at Cape Bible Chapel, and over the last 17 years, $207,000 has been raised through this event to help Southeast Cancer patients.
Featured performers were Mary Bauer, Lauren Dumey, Kaitlin Dumey, Matt Griffith, Shane Steck, Brodrick Twiggs, and the Academy of Dance Arts under the direction of Kara Shelton.
Dr. David Crowe served as this year’s Honorary Chairperson.
