Monica Abernot, MD, Ophthalmology, has joined the SoutheastHEALTH medical staff. She is affiliated with The Cozean Eye Institute, 56 Doctors’ Park.
Dr. Abernot has assumed the practice founded by Charles H. Cozean Jr., MD, who has had a long and distinguished career spanning 45 years.
Dr. Abernot received her MD degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to joining SoutheastHEALTH, Dr. Abernot practiced in Amarillo, Texas.
Dr. Abernot specializes in cataract surgery and comprehensive Ophthalmology, including diagnosis and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Donna Pry, OD, who specializes in Optometry, will continue to maintain her practice at The Cozean Eye Institute.
