Having a baby is a special gift of life and a gift of love. At Southeast Hospital's Dennis B. Elrod Obstetrics and Gynecology Center, we've wrapped over 80 years of experience into the region's recognized center for maternity care.

Since 1948, when Southeast established its Pediatrics Service, little folks and their care have been an important part of our services. And because each child who comes to Southeast is unique, so are each of the unit's 8 private rooms.

Our Nursery represents a new generation of care and includes a Neonatal Special Care Nursery for babies who need extra attention to get a strong start in life, as well as border, newborn and well-baby nurseries.

Nationally, one in 10 newborns requires extra care. For these parents, the experience of a hospital's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff and the level of technology will come into sharp focus.
