Chelsea Grigery, MD, Joins Southeast Pediatrics

Pediatrician Chelsea Grigery, MD, has joined the medical staff at Southeast Hospital. She is affiliated with Southeast Pediatrics.
“I love this region,” says Dr. Grigery, who grew up in Sikeston, Mo. “I have always wanted to come back home and that was my goal after completing medical school. I thoroughly enjoy being close to family and friends in this area.”
Dr. Grigery holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She received her MD degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, which is affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Grigery enjoys pediatric medicine and caring for everyone from newborns to teenagers. She posts photos of her patients on a bulletin board in her office.
“I particularly like sports medicine,” says Dr. Grigery who has experience treating children who have suffered sports-related injuries such as lacerations and broken bones.
She says she was attracted to SoutheastHEALTH because of “their focus on giving back to the outpatient community and helping children.”
She adds that she’s thrilled to be affiliated with Southeast Pediatrics, 25 Doctors’ Park in Cape Girardeau. “The people are so welcoming and it is a great working environment.” The practice includes Drs. Paul Leland, DO; Greg Cugini, MD; Kali Francis, MD; and nurse practitioner Lindsay McVey.
Dr. Grigery points out, “I love the community down here. Everyone gives back to each other, everyone knows each other. It’s just a great place to live.”
