SoutheastHEALTH has teamed up with the Cape Girardeau Police and Fire departments to promote breast cancer awareness throughout the month of October.
As part of the month-long, "Bravest Wear Pink campaign", Cape police and firefighters will wear special, pink T-shirts and participate in a number of community events, including the Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming parade.
You can be a part of this special observance in support of all women by purchasing a “Bravest Wear Pink” T-shirt. Shirts are $15 each and are available at:
- The Wishing Well Gift Shop at Southeast Hospital
- HealthPoint Fitness in Cape and Jackson
- Southeast Pharmacy at the West Campus, 817 South Mount Auburn Road
- The Foundation office at 60 Doctors’ Park
- The Cape Girardeau Police Department, 40 South Sprigg
- Cape Girardeau Fire Department #1, 1 South Sprigg
Proceeds from T-shirt sales will help provide mammograms for underserved women and help fund cancer patients’ immediate needs while undergoing treatment.
Breast cancer survivors, SoutheastHEALTH employees, and representatives of the Cape Girardeau Police and Fire departments – dressed in “Bravest Wear Pink” T-shirts – will walk in the Homecoming parade on Saturday, Oct. 4, accompanied by a specially decorated Cape County Transit bus. The parade starts at 9:30 a.m.
SoutheastHEALTH will sponsor two major events in October as part of the breast cancer campaign.
