Lance West Named Patient Experience Director

Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Judy Aslin has announced the appointment of Lance West, BSN, RN, CCRN, as Director of Patient Experience at Southeast Hospital.

Lance began his employment with SoutheastHEALTH in 2003 as a retractor holder. His most recent position was Assistant Nurse Manager of ICU/CTU. His experience at Southeast also includes working as an ICU nurse and ICU technician.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University and is working toward a Master of Science in Healthcare Management (emphasis in Administration) from the same institution.

“Lance is the perfect example of an exemplary employee with a great work attitude and work ethic,” Aslin said. He began his duties January 4.

Lance says he looks forward to an opportunity “to create a patient experience that correlates to the values by which we hold true at SoutheastHEALTH.”

He adds, “My goal is to improve the experience of not only patients, but their families, providers and staff throughout our organization. I believe that my nursing experience will give me a unique perspective to draw from in this new role.”
