SoutheastHEALTH Launches New Health Plan Providing Healthcare Cost Savings for Local Employers
April 12, 2016
SoutheastHEALTH today announced the launch of Southeast First Option Health Plan, a revolutionary health plan established to provide self-insured employers of all sizes a cost savings health benefit solution. SoutheastHEALTH hospitals and clinics, associated Southeast Medical Group physicians and all participating independent physicians in Cape Girardeau and surrounding communities are part of this plan.
“Southeast’s First Option Health Plan is our Patient Centered Medical Home,” said Ken Bateman, President and CEO of SoutheastHEALTH. “This plan reduces employer medical and pharmacy benefit plan spending by improving member health in a coordinated and integrated medical provider network.”
This plan, a collaborative partnership with SoutheastHEALTH and HealthScope, is an alternative option to benefit plans with soaring premium increases and high deductibles that leave employees vulnerable when health incidents occur.
Employers opting for Southeast First Option Health Plan will see group savings discounts of 10-20 percent over current industry pricing and pharmacy cost reductions from 6-18 percent based on competing plan averages. The plan also provides access to additional benefits including technological integration with electronic medical record and innovative patient to provider communication.
