SoutheastHEALTH has announced the appointment of Angie Umfleet to its System Board of Directors effective January 1.
Umfleet is the Chief Financial Officer and owner of Chap Arnold Insurance in Cape Girardeau. She is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, a minor in Business Administration, and additionally, has completed a Master’s Degree in Administration from Southeast Missouri State University.
“To be selected for service on the System Board of Directors is truly an honor. SoutheastHEALTH has made tremendous progress in the past few years and I look forward to being part of that forward momentum in establishing new milestones that will continue to serve residents of southeast Missouri,” said Umfleet.
“Umfleet’s background and extensive knowledge in health insurance and health plan design will further assist our current and futuristic efforts in providing high quality low cost healthcare,” said Ken Bateman, President and CEO of SoutheastHEALTH. “We’ve seen tremendous success in our health plan product and her insights will aide in positioning our upward trajectory for the future.”
Umfleet is active in the community and currently serves on the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as Chairman for the SoutheastHEALTH Foundation. She also devotes service to Graces of United Way and the Cape Girardeau Safe House for Women Advisory Board and is a volunteer for Read to Succeed.
