SoutheastHEALTH has opened its newest primary care clinic at 2600 East Main in Jackson. An open house and ribbon cutting ceremony were held today.
Features of the 11,652 square foot clinic include 10 exam rooms, one procedure room, onsite x-ray, ultrasound and lab services and a retail pharmacy with drive through. The facility is designed to accommodate future expansion, up to 20,000 square feet.
The clinic will be staffed by physicians Jamie D. Harrison, MD, and Joey Starke, DO, along with support team members.
With the main goal to improve the health of the Jackson community in mind, the design of the clinic provides patients with high quality medical care and supporting services that further support Southeast’s mission of focusing on the whole individual rather than episodic care thereby delivering an optimal patient experience and better outcomes.
The clinic is also in a convenient location for the growing number of First Option clients in the Jackson area. First Option is a health plan established by SoutheastHEALTH to provide self-insured employers of all sizes a cost savings health benefit solution.
“Southeast Primary Care of Jackson continues SoutheastHEALTH’s commitment to position high quality, low cost healthcare services across southeast Missouri,” said Ken Bateman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SoutheastHEALTH. “Jackson is a progressive community. Southeast Primary Care will help meet the continually expanding healthcare needs of Jackson area residents, close to home.”
SoutheastHEALTH has been part of the Jackson community since 1990 when the first outreach office outside Cape Girardeau was established. Today, Southeast’s presence in Jackson includes HealthPoint Fitness and Rehab and Southeast Convenient Care.
Other primary care clinics are located in Cape Girardeau, Dexter, Malden, Bernie, Sikeston, Perryville, Poplar Bluff, Bloomfield and New Madrid.
