Annual Indoor Triathlon
10 min. First wave of 4 participants begins at 8am. Participants will begin in the pool. 50 yards = 1 lap. Any stroke is permitted. There will be a 10 min. transition period between swim and bike. 10 laps = 100 pts. (10 pts. per lap)
30 min. Bike waves will start promptly according to transition times. Cycling occurs in cycling room on stationary bikes. You are responsible for adjusting your own resistance. Younger participants must properly fit to the bike. 10 miles = 100 pts. (10 pts. Per mile)
20 min. Run will take place on treadmills. There will be a 5 min. transition period between the bike and the run. While running on the treadmill you will have the ability to adjust both elevation and speed as you wish. 3 miles = 100 pts.
Performance is measured by total distance covered in the time allowed. The more distance you cover, the higher your score. Few participants will reach the 100 point benchmark in any discipline. For racers who cover more or less distance in the given time, points will be scaled linearly. For example, a person who covers 5 miles on the bike will receive 50 points.
First wave begins at 8:00 a.m. A new wave begins every 15 min. Each participant will select a preferred start time during registration. Start times will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your designated start time on the day of the race.
Awards will take place after the last wave finishes. Drinks, sandwich’s and snacks will be provided throughout the day. Top 5 overall male & female and 1st & 2nd place overall team will be awarded.
