My daughter was newly diagnosed with mental illness and thought of harming herself. Tonya was so compassionate, caring, patient and there to hold her hand, offer guidance and support and work with the interdisciplinary team to get testing and consults needed to help her get the best care, not only while in the ED, but when my daughter went to the next level of care and /or discharged home.
OB Team
The Obstetrics staff received the DAISY Team Award. The staff was nominated by Dr. Heather Cugini and recognized for their quick action in a high risk delivery. From EMS rolling the patient onto OB to time of birth was an amazing 18 minutes.
Cindy Raganyi
Cindy Raganyi, RN, nurse manager on 5-Surgical, received the DAISY Leader Award. She was nominated by her staff and recognized for her exemplary leadership, willingness to help, compassion toward patients and staff and her commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Janelle Caldwell
Janelle Caldwell, RN, Cardiac Pavilion, has received the DAISY Nurse Award. She was recognized for the special care she provided to a patient who was unexpectedly hospitalized and very apprehensive. Janelle was nominated by her unit leader, Cindy Raganyi.
Matt Lynn

Rachel Poston
Rachel was recognized by a patient’s family for her compassionate support during an emotionally trying time.
Jess Cracraft
Jess Cracraft, a nurse on the Cardiac Pavilion, received the DAISY Award at a ceremony held July 26. She was recognized for the special care she provided to a patient.
Oncology Progressive
The DAISY Team Award was presented to the Oncology Progressive staff at a ceremony held at Southeast Hospital on May 11. Team members are Mari Mashelle, Simpson, Kendra Kennedy, Amanda Williams, Candace Grant, Deanna Celaya, Jennifer Kiplinger, Leigh Hampton, Nadine Smith, Donna Gilliland, Lynn Boren and Regina Frazier.
Sarah Householder
Sarah Householder, a nurse on Cardiac Progressive Care, received the DAISY Award at a ceremony held May 11. She was recognized for the special care she provided to a patient and his family at a difficult time. Sarah was nominated by the patient’s daughter.
