SoutheastHEALTH Ambassadors

TylerCuba“It is an honor to begin serving as Ambassador President beginning January 2018. As President, I would like to introduce changes for our group that I hope will excite you as much as they have me. It is a very exciting time to be in a leadership role with our SoutheastHEALTH Ambassador group. Ideas imagined years ago have gained momentum, and there has been growth in every area of the organization: educational programs, staff, and most importantly the benefits to members.

As part of the changes we plan to implement, our bi-monthly meetings will now consist of programming geared toward the engagement of our members to further experience SoutheastHEALTH through interactions with our doctors, tours of the hospital, and even a glimpse into surgery with our cardiologists. This is all being done to grow and create engagement from the Ambassador group while continuing our fundraising efforts for the HeartStrong Fund.

We hope that by providing greater access to SoutheastHEALTH, its facilities, doctors, and their areas of expertise, we can create a better understanding of our mission as the Ambassadors. We will continue to provide more details as we get closer to our first meeting of the new year, scheduled for February 20th, 2018. Looking forward to another great year!”

What is an Ambassador?

The SoutheastHEALTH Ambassadors are a volunteer board that focuses on supporting SoutheastHEALTH Foundation. They will specifically be supporting the HeartStrong Fund which is a resource to provide funding for programs to address cardiovascular disorders and prevention, specifically cardiac rehab, scaled to congestive heart failure patients, smoking cessation programs, and the Mending Hearts program.

SoutheastHEALTH’s top-ranked team of cardiologists diagnoses and treats many heart conditions, including many rare and complex disorders. SoutheastHEALTH’s Division of Cardiovascular Diseases is one of the largest and most integrated in the South Central Region of Missouri. SoutheastHEALTH physicians work together to evaluate and treat patients, utilizing the most advanced techniques and technologies.

The SoutheastHEALTH Ambassadors are committed to community outreach to educate residents about preventing heart disease and responding properly when symptoms present through programs available at SoutheastHEALTH.
