SoutheastHEALTH Foundation Board of Directors Chairman Curt Buchheit has announced the appointment of Missy Janzow to the board.
Janzow is a native of the Cape Girardeau/Jackson area and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a B.S. degree in Dietetics. During her last two years at the university, Janzow worked in the SoutheastHEALTH Food and Nutrition Department as a dietitian’s assistant. Her career includes working in clinical dietitian roles in St. Louis and Kansas City. Janzow most recently resided in Texas, where she operated Fit4U, a small business that involved training programs for runners and triathletes and triathlon and running camps for children.
An avid athlete, Janzow competed in the sports of triathlon and running for more than 20 years, qualifying for the Boston Marathon three years, the 70.3 World Championships and the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. She is active in the Cape Girardeau community, working as a volunteer for SoutheastHEALTH and serving as co-chairman of the 2022 Foundation Journey Gala to benefit cancer patients and their families. She recently obtained her real estate license and is a sales executive with Edge Realty.
“Serving as co-chairman for the Journey Gala, and as a gala volunteer before that, made me aware of the wonderful work the SoutheastHEALTH Foundation does to make our community a better, healthier, place to live,” Janzow said. “I look forward to serving on a board that is so committed to enhancing healthcare services across all age groups.”
