Construction is underway for a new SoutheastHEALTH primary care clinic in Jackson. Unveiling ceremonies for the clinic were held today at 2600 East Main.
Features of the 11,652 square foot clinic include 10 exam rooms, one procedure room, onsite x-ray, ultrasound and lab services and a retail pharmacy with drive through. The facility is designed to accommodate future expansion, up to 20,000 square feet.
The new Southeast Primary Care facility is slated for completion in December. Primary Care physicians Jamie D. Harrison, MD, and Joey Starke, DO, along with advanced practice registered nurses and their support team members will be housed at this location.
With the main goal to improve the health of the Jackson community in mind, the design of this facility provides patients with high quality medical care and supporting services conveniently in one location. This further supports Southeast's mission of focusing on the whole individual rather than episodic care thereby delivering an optimal patient experience and better outcomes.
"Southeast Primary Care of Jackson continues SoutheastHEALTH's commitment to position high quality low cost healthcare services across southeast Missouri," said Ken Bateman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SoutheastHEALTH. "This project and the investment it requires underscores our commitment to Jackson and the surrounding region, and will be grounded in the principles of evidence-based practice, and exceptional patient and family experiences."
SoutheastHEALTH has been part of the Jackson community since 1990 when the first outreach office outside Cape Girardeau was established. Today, Southeast's presence in Jackson includes HealthPoint Fitness and Rehab and Southeast Convenient Care clinic.
Other primary care clinics are located in Cape Girardeau, Dexter, Malden, Bernie, Sikeston, Perryville, Poplar Bluff and Bloomfield. A new primary care clinic is set to open this spring in New Madrid.
