Dr. Eaton fell in love with rheumatology for multiple reasons. He likes being able to thoroughly listen to patients and perform a physical exam to get a very good idea of what is ailing them.Since most of the diseases Dr. Eaton treats are incurable conditions, he is able to build lifelong relationships with his patients. He is trained to recognize and manage very rare disorders, so sometimes he can be a patient's last hope for feeling well again. He finds it both humbling and gratifying when he is able to make a positive impact on a patient's life. When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Eaton's favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife Julie, and son Sterling. He also enjoys video games, drumming, trading cryptocurrency and learning about finance and investments.

Do you know that people of all ages can be affected by rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, a disease that can be painful and disruptive to your lifestyle. SoutheastHEALTH Rheumatologist Dr. Ryan Eaton explains how RA can be successfully managed.
