When you're undergoing cancer treatment, support can make the journey easier. Here are some of the support services Southeast Cancer Center offers:

Cancer Journey Guides

Our journey guides are skilled and caring staff members who will help you through all phases of treatment. Your journey guide will serve as a personal resource throughout your journey, connecting you and your caregiver to the resources and services you may need along the way.

We Can Weekend

This program provides adults diagnosed with cancer a no-cost, three-day weekend to spend time with their families, caregivers and others in similar situations, while learning, recharging and relaxing.

We Can Weekend is for people who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or have completed treatment within the last two years.

The weekend includes group activities designed to teach coping techniques, like journaling, mindfulness and meditation. Other activities include everything from arts and crafts to swimming and fishing.

We Can Weekend is held each year on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Memorial Day at YMCA of the Ozarks in Potosi. Reservations are accepted beginning Feb. 10.

The weekend is free. However, a $50 deposit is required to hold your room. The refund of your reservation depends on your attendance for the weekend as well as participation in scheduled group activities with We Can Weekend staff.

We Can Weekend is made possible thanks to donations from SoutheastHEALTH Foundation and donations to our Cancer Care Fund.
