Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break. It is often termed a “silent disease” as most people are unaware they have it until a fracture occurs. Osteoporosis affects men and women, but post-menopausal women are at higher risk.

Our therapists develop individualized programs of treatment according to the patient’s specific needs. Treatments for osteoporosis can include the following:
- Weight bearing and resistive exercises to build bone
- Postural and flexibility exercises to improve posture and joint mobility
- Balance activities to help prevent falls
