OsteoporosisOsteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break. It is often termed a “silent disease” as most people are unaware they have it until a fracture occurs. Osteoporosis affects men and women, but post-menopausal women are at higher risk.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Our therapists develop individualized programs of treatment according to the patient’s specific needs. Treatments for osteoporosis can include the following:

  • Weight bearing and resistive exercises to build bone
  • Postural and flexibility exercises to improve posture and joint mobility
  • Balance activities to help prevent falls
