Southeast Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation focuses on a personalized method of treatment to improve patients’ quality of life. Our mission is to restore patients to their highest level of function upon returning to the community.
We specialize in non-surgical physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) for patients who have been disabled as a result of an injury, disease or condition, including:
- Acute and chronic pain
- Pulled muscles
- Pinched nerves
- Paraplegics, quadriplegics and brain injury patients
- Stroke victims
- Orthopedic injuries
- Neurologic disorders
A physician’s referral is needed to make an appointment.
Meet Dr. Matthew Karshner
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician, Dr. Matthew Karshner, completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, fellowship in New Orleans at Louisiana State University Medical Center and graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. He received his M.D. degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Karshner has been with SoutheastHEALTH since 2007 and also acts as the Medical Director of Inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SoutheastHEALTH.
