“My husband was admitted to Inpatient Rehab in July and was still here late August. From the first day Allyson was assigned to him, she was very patient, kind, soft-spoken and always explained to him what she was doing. She always went above and beyond to make him comfortable and pushed him to help make him feel better.
After about weeks, the doc suggested some sunshine. My husband was a little unsure about it, but Allyson encouraged him and made sure he stayed outside for a certain amount of time. I even took a picture of them! She has visited him twice since he has been at Inpatient Rehab and he is always happy to see her. Allyson epitomizes all the criteria for the Sunshine Award. She would be a great hands-on mentor/trainer for new patient care techs. It is mine and my husband Jimmy’s honor to nominate her for the Sunshine Award for exceptional care givers.”

“Allyson never complains about what she’s helping me with. She cleans me after every accident and keeps it from being so embarrassing. She seems to care about me as a person. She’s always happy and lifts my mood. I got news today that my cancer was probably back and she helped me process the news and get over the shock. She’s a really good asset for your hospital. Allyson did an exceptional job. It was evident she took pride in their work and did it well.”
